Pete Wernick's BLUEGRASS JAM CAMP

What it is:
A combination of classroom and hands-on instruction by an experienced, understanding teacher. (9:30-5:30 Fri, Sat, and Sun.)
You will be grouped with others according to experience, and do a lot of jamming, sometimes guided, sometimes on your own!
Learn ear skills, musicianship, band dynamics and backup, harmony singing, practice techniques, and the how-to's of a variety of jam situations.
How you qualify:
For this Intermediate camp, jamming experience is required, including for banjos, mandolins, fiddles, and dobro players the ability to fake solos and willingness to sing.
If unsure regarding which camp to attend, email pete@drbanjo.com. Campers who have attended Pete's Basic Jam Camp are generally qualified for the Intermediate camp. New bands or members of bands are especially encouraged to attend!
Comments from recent jam campers:
"An incredible experience... a depth of knowledge on the subject beyond just technique, including the history, etiquette, and flavor of the genre."
"I had a wonderful time at Jam Camp last weekend. I was a bit concerned that such an intense weekend of music might result in overload, but found that it just got more fun as the camp progressed."
"We attended our first jam session since the camp last night. There was a noticeable improvement in my jamming skills since last week's jam session."
"I have to say jam camp made a big difference for me. I have since played in public a bunch, which helps you find even more people to jam with."
"Your teaching techniques and constant encouragement elevated the efforts of everyone there."
"Being in education, I appreciated your calm and supportive teaching style and your constructive immediate feedback."
"You told me exactly what I needed to work on, and I've worked on it. Now I'm much better at jamming than I was just a few months ago."
"I just enjoyed the company of fellow learners and made some great connections. I do believe my life will be richer for having been there."
